A security system is much like an insurance policy. The only reason anyone would want a security system is because they might need a security system. And like insurance, it is purchased with the hope of never needing it, but when it is needed you want to know that it will be there and provide you with the protection you expect. One advantage to a security system, over that of insurance, is that it will usually minimize or eliminate the problem as, or before, it happens; Rather than just provide reimbursement after the fact.
